Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how keenie (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you use our websites and services. It covers creators who run workspaces and viewers who open a watch link. keenie is provided by János Gyurisán, Hungary. Registered address: 9400 Sopron, Vághy Ferenc 18. Contact support@keenie.io. Polar Software, Inc. is merchant of record for paid plans.

Information we collect

  • Account information — email, name (if provided), login details, and workspace membership.
  • Workspace and content — projects, videos or versions you add, and related settings.
  • Watch sessions — viewing and attention-related data when someone uses a watch link, based on the choices on that page. Camera access is only used if the viewer agrees.
  • Usage information — how the marketing site and product are used, plus basic technical data needed to run and secure the service.
  • Communications — support messages, in-product feedback, and emails we send about your account (for example sign-in, password reset, workspace invites, billing, and the first watch session on a project).

How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and secure the service
  • Create and manage accounts and workspaces
  • Show creators analysis from watch sessions they collect
  • Improve the product and understand how people sign up and use keenie
  • Respond to support requests and send service-related email
  • Meet legal obligations and prevent abuse

Legal bases

Where GDPR or similar rules apply, we rely on performing our contract with you, legitimate interests in running and improving keenie, consent where required (for example camera access on a watch page), or a legal obligation.

Analytics

We use analytics to understand marketing and product usage. We do not send your name or email to those tools, and what we share is not meant for them to identify you personally. We may still connect usage to your account on our systems for the service or support. See also our Cookie Policy.

Sharing

We share data with trusted providers who help us operate keenie, only as needed and under appropriate agreements:

  • Vercel — hosting. On the signed-in dashboard we may also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights.
  • Neon — database.
  • Supabase — authentication.
  • Plunk — transactional email.
  • PostHog — product analytics (no name or email).
  • Sentry — error monitoring (errors only; no name or email).
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on public forms.
  • YouTube / Google — video embeds on the watch page. When a watch page embeds YouTube, YouTube may set its own cookies; keenie does not use those for ads.
  • Polar — payments and subscriptions. Polar acts as merchant of record for paid plans. When you upgrade, we send Polar the workspace owner’s email and name, a workspace identifier, and the selected plan. Polar collects billing address and tax details at checkout to charge tax and issue invoices. Polar emails receipts and invoices. Polar does not receive watch-session or webcam data.

We do not sell personal information. We may also share data if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a business transfer. For watch-session data, you are the controller and keenie is the processor — see the Data Processing Addendum.

International transfers

Data may be processed in the EEA and other countries where our providers operate, with safeguards required by applicable law.

Retention

We keep account and workspace data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for security, backups, disputes, or law. Watch session data is kept so creators can analyze it for as long as the workspace needs it, unless we delete it sooner when you ask and we can.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect personal information. No online service is completely secure.

Children and age

You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 16 (or under the digital consent age where you live), a parent or guardian must agree to the Terms and this Privacy Policy for you. Viewers on a watch link may be younger; creators are responsible for invites and any required consents. Contact support@keenie.io if you think an account should not exist.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, object to certain processing, or receive a copy of your data. Email support@keenie.io. You may also complain to a data protection authority.

Cookies

See our Cookie Policy.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the “Last updated” date when we do. For significant changes we may provide extra notice.
